The Legacy of Bombay, as the name bears out, is an attempt to recreate the magic of Mumbai street food. It is open and airy, with the light entering through the glassed enclosure. Echoes of Chowpaty, Juhu beaches, faludas of Crawford market fame, and sheera of the Irani joints all come together in this menu. Cool off with some thematic coolers such as the crawford mango man (honey and saffron) or the falooda (kesari or rose). Also try the rose or kesar lassi, from the variety of choices. Chat over some chaats (bhel puri, sevi puri, golgappa) and kachoris – the raj kachori garnished with slivers of apple and pomegranate, sweetened with tamarind and curd, filled with chickpeas and moong is to die for. From the lanes of Dadar, missal, dosas, pao bhaji are other 'fast food' specialties making the list. It has got the heart of Mumbai right in the heart of Panjim.
