Ever heard the phrase – Ain’t no school like old school! Enter Soro Pub where a vintage tastefully decked up ambience comes alive. The ‘half finished’ rough and grunge look with its high stools and tables depicts a ‘suit your mood’ avatar. The use of local laterite in the décor is very appealing and the main outside focus. Pass through to an outside verandah with seating and a pool table. The inner sanctum is air conditioned, yet casual. Lighting is old world style – perhaps the fluctuating power gives it an interesting identity of sorts, resembling life in a village. Opt for the Southern style beef fry…Kerala spiced flavours go well with a captain and cola mix. The table barbecue – teriyaki beef on skewers is succulent and will captivate you. For the mains, request for the grilled tenderloin – 180 to 200 gms of grilled meat on a bed of mash potatoes with asparagus spears and the pepper sauce is like nirvana calling. The paneer is soft and falls off the fork in the paneer shashlik. Leave place for their USP Chocolate Paan dessert – an experience in itself.
