  • They have many variations in 'Long Island Ice Tea' here, 'Glocal Classic LIIT being my favourite among them
  • From the “Quarters” section of the drinks menu, 'Satrangi Narangi' (white rum, triple sec and orange juice) and 'Gulabo' (vodka with lemon juice and rose petal flavours) are interesting cocktails to try here
  • 'Kolkata Pan Cheesecake' and 'Masala Chai Pannacotta' are some out-of-the-box desserts not-to-be-missed here

The bar and restaurant which is part of a Mumbai based chain had closed down this outlet in Jubilee Hills last year and replaced it by another restaurant from the same group. Curiously, a couple of months back, the management did a volte-face by reopening Glocal Junction at the same premises. The restaurant impresses with the presentation of food and drinks. A case in point is 'Thailee', a concoction of Vodka and Midori served in a plastic sachet. 'Toxic Box' with vodka, galangal, and lemongrass is another cocktail which deserves a mention. 'Coorg Style Chicken Dry Fry' and 'Rubyan Meshwi' (Arabic Style Grilled Prawns) are some among the bar food which go well with drinks. From the main courses, 'Massaman Curry' served with parathas and the offbeat 'Biryani Risotto' can be tried out. Overall, the food is decent but not exceptional. They have a Sunday Brunch which is well-attended.
