Jiva Imperia is a buffet-only vegetarian restaurant that belongs to the Ohri's group in the busy Begumpet area. It has one of the largest vegetarian spread in town, which is economically priced and multicuisine, with items from Chinese, North Indian, and Continental as well as South Indian kitchens. However, its true strength is the North Indian food, especially the dishes from Rajasthani and Gujarati cuisines coming from the expertise of De Thali, another Ohri’s restaurant with which it shares its kitchen. This is a good place to visit in a group, where different people have different tastes, as there is always something for everyone. The décor of this spacious restaurant is in white, which is its theme. The live counters here are very popular with the diners – they have one which serves four varieties of Chaat and the other is for dosas, often with additional counters for Pav Bhaji or Parathas. The Chocolate Fountain is another attraction. Service is attentive, however, I have seen it go a bit haywire during rush hours.
