One of the few Bengali restaurants to make rapid strides since opening less than two years ago, Sarkar’s Kitchen has recently shifted to a much bigger location in Madhapur. The popularity of this place is due to the fact that it serves home-style comfort food, endearing it especially to a large number of Bengalis who work in the IT sector here. Weekends are very crowded here, so it makes sense to go with prior reservations. Among the snacks 'Bhetki Cutlet', and 'Mughlai Paratha' are some dishes which are popular. Pointed gourd dishes like 'Doi Potol' and 'Alu Potoler Dalna' find favour with both vegetarians and non-vegetarians. Bengali restaurants are usually judged on the quality of their fish dishes, the 'Mourala Macher Jhal' and 'Sorshe Rui' here pass with flying colours. The light and runny 'SK Special Crab Curry' is a must order dish. The restaurant needs to augment its desserts menu, after a fulfilling Bengali meal, availability of good Bengali sweets is a must.
