Ever since the bifurcation of the Telugu states, there has been a renewed interest in the cuisines from Telangana. Among the restaurants offering delicacies from the new state, Telangana Spice Kitchen is definitely one of the better ones. The spacious restaurant with ample outdoor and indoor seating has its walls adorned with some exceptional local paintings. The paintings are on sale, so if you like the one you can take it home. Though the place serves tandoori and Chinese food too, the Telangana dishes are what I strongly recommend. The 'Golichina' or fried dishes from Telangana go well with the cocktails, you can go for the mutton or the baby corn version. From the main course, 'Pulihora with Country Chicken' and 'Dalcha Mutton with Bagara Rice' are 2 combo dishes which stand out. On the weekends, they have a lot of special items, such as a 'Full Lamb Leg cooked Telangana style' as well as 'Bheja Fry' or 'Gurda Kapura'.
