It is a close recreation of the ‘Central Perk’ café from the hugely popular sitcom in the 90’s FRIENDS; the big orange couch, the bar with brick walls behind, plenty of fun facts about the cast of the show all around and the most amusing picture of Gunther, the barman behind the counter gives this place an overall happy ambience, especially for people who have grown up watching the show. The food is vegetarian and the menu is mostly crafted to target the youth with plenty of finger food, typical American pizzas, pastas, sandwiches and more café kind of food. Not much can be said about the taste which is quite mediocre. Monica’s mud pie and the sizzling brownie with ice cream are highly recommended. The coffees and the various interesting milk shakes are just plain good.
Here we enjoyed our dinner. I went this one restaurant with my wife and some close friends. They arranged the food tasty.
First the pros..I have liked their Ross's Moist Maker Sandwich, Mixed sauce Pasta n their Black Current Cheese Cake.So far so good. The cons now..there is TV where the episodes of FRIENDS are continuously played on a high volume not even allowing the guests to talk...I don't think its a very comfortable place to hang out with family n friends!!
My cousins are F.R.I.E.N.D.S freak so had the café in list n visited the café early at around 6 p.m. After unexpected wait of only 10 mins at last entered the café. The interiors are awesome with famous Dialogues framed all over the wall, the sitting arrangements are same as in the serial with Couch and Hookah Sitting available. F.R.I.E.N.D.S serial was playing all the time. Food was unexpected n terrible. French fries were oily, Cheese corn balls were limited but good. Pesto pizza was awesome n good in size. Nachos were also good. Crux:- One time visit n only for the serial lovers.
Awesome place with interesting decor. The best was the scrabble wall. Located in a residential area , would mean it is a good place to hang around at odd hours. The food 🥘 was appealing and good in taste. However, I would give more marks for the presentation and the ambience. The place is small and would be too noisy if crowded. Lucky for us , we were the only table being served till a couple dropped in. Overall I would recommend a visit , if you want something different. 😊😊
There was a lot of hype generated by Friends Café, and for obvious reasons. I was fortunate to be a part of the bloggers event, wherein we got a taste of its finest dishes. A little birdie tells me they have a surprise for us. Stay tuned for some matargashti.
