The cuisine of this neighbouring state of West Bengal had always been appreciated in Kolkata but only to the extent of 'Litti and Chokha', but, now there is a dedicated restaurant with all the popular dishes from around Bihar and Jharkhand in Kolkata. A small cosy restaurant with walls done up with Madhubani paintings. If you love Bihari cuisine, then this is the place to go. 'Litti' mixed with desi ghee from Bihar is served with 'Aloo Chokha' and 'Baingan Chokha'. The best part is that the Aloo Chokha is also distinctly mashed with ghee and dotted with red chilli flakes. The 'Baingan Chokha' is mashed with the typical mustard oil giving it a superb kick. The food is slightly higher on spices in order to retain the authenticity so be prepared for the same
