Party scene of Kolkata is entirely different from what you hope to find in other metropolitan cities. Life is a little slow paced here and everybody does things at their own speed. They don’t believe in rushing and refuse to be part of the rat race. They work hard and then sit back to unwind. Gastronomy runs through the city majorly, according the patrons a magnificent backdrop of history to go with. You will find some excellent places to dine at, tucked into the snug colonial lanes of Kolkata ranging back for decades and very much part of the tapestry of this gorgeous city. One of the new arrivals on the dining scene of the city is ‘Ozora’, Kolkata’s new terrace lounge. The place is located on the 20th floor of Acropolis Mall and has a breath-taking view of the city.

There can be nothing better than admiring Kolkata from a vantage point, drinking in the beauty of the stunning architecture that envelopes many modern day buildings. Ozora offers all that and more. The skybar experience however doesn’t come cheap but one glance around the beautiful room is enough to mellow you down. The whole place is split into two sections and also comes with a tranquil pool side area. On the whole the ambience, the food and the décor is to die for. It can very easily climb up the popularity charts on the way to becoming the hottest new pub in Kolkata. The interiors are modern in appearance and are furnished in white which glows brightly in the evening with fitted lights. Cosy sofas and light chairs flanks small edgy tables. The vibe is lively, glamourous, elegant and very stylish.

The menu is crowd-pleasing and very likable, dabbling into Chinese, North-Indian and general finger food to go with the drinks. Start with chilli baby corn, Punjabi masala glazed fries, fish tikka, cheesy French fries and chicken kebab. Coming to the main course give their smoked Marwari papdi pizza, dal makhani tarts, paneer rubiyat summeri, mix sauce pasta and burgers a fair shot. The food is innovative and nicely prepared. It goes pretty well with the cocktails too, which we find to be heady and addictive. Ozora has reset the definition of a successful nightspot in Kolkata with its flair and presence.
