About BusaGo, Bandra Kurla Complex (BKC), Western Suburbs

Pan Asian food is pretty easy to like, travelling around the entire Asian continent adapting itself through various regional cuisines. The entire cuisine is based on creating the perfect balance of flavours – sweet, salty and sour. This cuisine found its way decades ago into the hearts of foodies, each associating a certain fond memory through this cuisine. Although Mumbai city is a gastronomy mecca of numerous international cuisines but Pan Asian food still rules most sectors. In Mumbai one restaurant is more popular than any other eatery – ‘BusaGo’. A more affordable version of it’s sister restaurant, Busaba, BusaGo is Chef Nikhil Chibb’s take on pocket-friendly Pan Asian cuisine. His drive to make this sought after cuisine accessible to everyone has led to the opening of BusaGo. His outlet at FIFC Building, Bandra Kurla Complex is a thriving hub.

As they say, ‘sweet things come in small packages’. This saying is true in BusaGo’s case. The restaurant tackles a dazzling array of Pan Asian cuisines in a compact menu. The chef addresses all Chinese, Thai, Asian, Vietnamese, Korean and Tibetan beautifully. Opt for their combo meal if you are short on time. Their Burmese Kaukswe is said to be one of the best in the city. Begin with, gado gado, crispy potatoes, Tibetan non-veg momos and som tam. The second course gets even more exciting with, bugogi, Thai red curry chicken, kaffir lime beef, sizzling Mekong vegetable curry, basil chicken, steamed veggies and Cambodian chicken curry. Add a staple to maximise your meal. Cauli rice, Hakka noodles, brown rice or sticky rice would do wonderfully.

Wash down the meal with coconut nimbu paani or an iced tea. Round off the meal with a delicious dessert. Banoffee-in-a-cup is a crowd-pleasing favourite. More conventional hits include, chocolate tart, flourless chocolate cake and a lemon tart. All their sauces and dips are their own in-house brand, which can be bought and taken home with you. Home delivery is available in case you feel too lazy to come in. Décor wise, BusaGo doesn’t disappoint. You are met with a simply decorated room furnished with casual dining table sets. Pale white walls are adorned with multi-coloured discs, which adds a pop of colour to the otherwise stark room. The idea is to relax and chill out with friends over good food. BusaGo is a value for money kind of eatery. However, it is quite busy so book in advance.
