It is becoming highly fashionable to launch a ‘progressive Indian’ or ‘modern Indian’ or ‘progressive modern Indian’ restaurant. This is mostly because there is a huge audience that enjoys this sort of food and experimentation. Café Haqq Se is a very pretty restaurant with a beautiful black and white mural on one wall, a small bar tucked away in a corner, and plenty of comfortable seating with uniquely colourful chairs. While the staff calls it ‘progressive modern Indian’, we like to call it good ol’ fusion food. The menu has dishes such as dumpling mulligatawny soup, koliwada fritto misto, bhune chicken wings, laal duck mole and even a Butter Chicken A La Kiev.
