The warm vibe that this place exudes puts you at ease immediately. Packed for lunch and dinner this restaurant is clearly much sought after for its good quality food. The linear layout seems cramped at first glance but is not actually so. The round tables at the end offer a cosy seating area. The bar menu offers ample variety. Regular patrons here seem to know the food menu well and stick to their favourites. 'Lettuce Wraps' with sautéed water chestnuts corn and mushroom are worth a try, if only for its myriad textures. 'Exotic vegetables in a Chilli Basil Sauce in a clay pot' will even convert carnivores. Pair this with Ginger and Capsicum Fried Rice', and you have a winning combination. If you are lucky, you may get to order some of the special sweets in season from the Oh! Calcutta menu here. The staff is well-versed with the menu and extremely warm and helpful. In spite of the crowds, the service is quick and alert.

The brand has been around for decades and started its culinary journey in the early 90’s under the mantle of Anjan Chatterjee. The first flagship restaurant was opened in Sakinaka area in Mumbai and since then the brand has grown into various outlets all over the country. What started as a tiny eatery created by a bunch of foodies, grew into something spectacular. Although all outlets of Mainland China are just as good, Powai’s branch is more accessible and charming. Its corporate central location of City Park, Near D Mart in Powai, makes it highly favoured by the office goers. During lunch time the restaurant is always busy as many neighbouring regulars come here to enjoy a delicious oriental lunch with their team.
