About Masala Library, Bandra Kurla Complex (BKC), Western Suburbs

A well lit 90 seater restaurant with an amazing combination of beige and brown and wooden lattice screens attracts people from all across. This artistic, upmarket Indian fare with variety of cocktails presented in a stylish ambiance makes the evening special. The wooden ceiling above makes the place a little cosier. Masala Library serves conventional food with contemporary cooking techniques. Décor has been kept very simple and focus remains on the skillfully made pioneering Indian fare. The restaurant serves a huge variety of dishes to satisfy your taste buds. Masala Libraries best sellers are created when there is a fusion of art and science and the whole cuisine tell stories with scientific panache. It is an air-conditioned restaurant with luxury dining and offers valet parking and wheel chair for the convenience of the people. It is open from 12 Noon to 2:30 PM and 7 PM to 11 PM in the evening.

Masala Library is popular for innovation display of food. It serves both North Indian and South Indian. It is an outstanding fusion collection. It begins with serving of papadi chat that is served over a trail of dry ice with Yoghurt and tamarind chutney over it. The vegetarian aroma of Rajasthan is squeezed in a symphony of munches and oozes of 3 wonderful dishes on a single platter which includes Churma, Papad Ki Sabzi and Jaipuri Bhindi. The Mushroom Chai that replaces tea leaves in place of mushrooms and truffle oil replacing sugar is actually a clear, appetizing and light mushroom soup served in the teapot. Some other signature dishes are Pepper Prawns, Curry Leaf and Thayir Sadam and not to miss Banana Crisp Distil, an authentic taste of Kerala. Creativity and detailing is the part of this restaurant and some other signature dishes includes Chicken Tikka with smokey flavours kulchas with gucchi stuffed in it, Kabab pierced with pesto, Butter chicken, San Marzano tomatoes, lamb chops with a clue of sugariness of maple and hint of kokum. The main course ends with fantastic ghevar, Jalebi and cheese cake. Pan too is served for the people who are fond of it in a stylish way.

The courteous staff ensures that you have an amazing evening and are extremely courteous. Though a little exorbitantly priced but certainly every penny is worth it. Meal for two costs approximately 3,000 but you will certainly not be disappointed. Masala Library has an extensive variety to offer and the Chefs Kitchen will give a superstar meal experience. This place is normally on most of the days so it is advisable to get the table booked well in advance.

Insider Tips
Prices are not low but are surprisingly reasonable for a restaurant that is so popular
  • The menus changes regularly so it is hard to make recommendations but do not miss the 'Jalebi Caviar', a truly great dessert
  • It is easier to get a table if you go early or late. (Peak-times reservations are hard to procure.)
