Poush is possibly Mumbai's only Kashmiri restaurant. The original outlet in the Western suburbs had shut down much to the disquiet of its fans but Poush has now re-opened at Phoenix Market City and at Thane. The seating plan here offers floor seating in tribute to the shikaras or house boats of Kashmir. Those uncomfortable with sitting on the floor can opt for table seating. They offer shorbas and mutton sat sass (mutton stock with mutton pieces in them) on the menu which are interesting Kashmiri-style soups. Non-vegetarians should try out the classic mutton rogan josh, Kashmiri meatball-based dishes rista and gostaba. Dishes such as nardir gosht which use lotus stem are pretty unique. Vegetarians would like the rajma.
