It is definitely the beautiful set-up of this place that first catches your eye – meticulously all-white with the occasional burst of gentle turquoise. Euriska means ‘discovery’, which is exactly what the menu is. Shut your eyes and order the spinach, pine nut and feta cheese stuffed phyllo pastry spanakopitas, or beer batter-fried calamari to start off. Skewers of sizzling grilled pork loin and mustard souvlaki work well as the second course; if you are in a group, sample the wood-fired pizzas with pepperoni, salami, mortadella and chorizo or mushroom, onion, artichoke and asparagus, while delving into several creative cocktails. Their lamb moussaka is succulent, while the grape leaves-wrapped trout is a study in unusual flavours – if not the mascarpone-artichoke barigoule tortelloni. For dessert, tuck into the berry and candied citrus panna cotta or chocolat trois.
