Adding to the charm of Pune’s flourishing culinary scene ‘Jimmy Hu’ is like no other multi-cuisine restaurant you have ever seen. The restaurant has fast become a well-known place with the local foodies, families and party set alike. The hip trendy vibe of the place is what attracts the punters in the first place. From outside it appears to be an eccentric bungalow guarded by a pair of Lambretta scooters but as you step inside you will see a wonderfully spacious house dotted with cosy furniture all over. Painted with fun murals the restaurant is a casual and boho looking space ideal to let your hair down over a bunch of cocktails. Inside the décor resembles a vibrant and quirky looking shed with huge windows and rustic looking walls. Jimmy Hu shares the outdoor space with their neighbour, The Brooklyn Shuffle Bar so you will witness twice the fun. Jimmy Hu is doing wonders for the image of Koregaon Park vicinity by its cheerful presence.


The service at Jimmy Hu is peppy and quick. The staff is in high spirits all the time which adds to the mood. Their creativity and eccentricity extends to their presentation too. Expect your drinks to be served in glass jam jars and mains in typical Chinese takeaway boxes. Though the menu of Jimmy Hu is multi-cuisine they lean heavily on Asian fare. Satisfy your cravings for sushi and dim sums here as they will delight your palate with unique Asian dishes. Order some fab nibbles to pair your drinks with like, spinach & corn balls, shrimp popcorn, chicken lollies, BBQ paneer, duxelle mushrooms, hush puppies, captain crunch potato skins, Hong Kong paneer, chilli pork, salt & pepper fish, spicy grilled beef, chilli tamarind fish and star anise roast pork.


Jimmy Hu even does a fantastic set of tempura, dim sums, satays and maki platter. They serve wonderfully juicy pulled pork sliders, mini chicken quesadillas, falafel burger, pasta, fish n chips, steak & mash if you want something more substantial. For sweet ending opt for a cheesecake or a chocolate brownie. The bar menu of Jimmy Hu is very well kept with a global array of booze but what steals the spotlight is their signature cocktails which carries names like Balinese bomber, Lemongrass hopper, The scorpion stinger and The cold war. Jimmy Hu is not very expensive which is good for people with limited budgets.
