This bright, clean, spaced out décor packs quite a crowd in its easy five-star elegance coupled with a rather friendly ambience. It is a convenient option for tucking in to some good food all day long, and offers both an extensive buffet menu and a short but sweet À la carte list as well – elements of the latter often show up in the former, much to the delight of regulars. In À la carte, a great start to the meal would be the gorgeous smoked turkey, basil and thyme roasted pumpkin soup, progressing perhaps to a rich and satisfying mushroom risotto, which brings you perfectly cooked and seasoned arborio rice steeped in the umami of parmesan and varied edible fungii. A stylised Mumbai toasty (replete with slices of spiced potato, beet and tomatoes in chutney) may go down pretty well too, as would the shaved fennel, apple, baby spinach and walnut salad. Besides this bunch of bistro-like options, this restaurant pulls of its North Indian fare rather well, so dip into some piping hot dum gosht biryani, chicken tikka makhani and dal makhani if that is more to your liking – and maybe end it with a refreshing and healthy fresh fruit platter, or a sinful bowl of creamy kheer rice pudding stuffed with dry fruits.
