  • Interestingly, they have two entirely separate categories dedicated to mutton dishes (which include everything from saag wala gosht – best had with the kheema naan – to Sikandari raan marinated in rum!) and koftas respectively

Pop culture is clearly great fodder for the restaurant business, if the number of eateries with décor inspired by comic book heroes and fantasy characters were any indication. This one has gone a step further by emulating the fictional ‘Black Pearl’ ship from the Pirates of the Caribbean movie series, replete with a life-size replica of Captain Jack Sparrow greeting you at the entrance and black interiors adorned with skulls and bones and related paraphernalia. Start out with some braised prawns or the flavourful Rawalpindi chicken cooked with yogurt, dates and saffron if you want something desi with a twist. For mains, I would recommend the fish tikka masala and some Jammu-style rajma with a churri naan or two.
