It has got style, it is classy and it has just opened operations in Ahmedabad. Millhouse serves European cuisine but instead of getting all ingredients from outside, they try to use as much local produce as they can. Millhouse is the initiative of Chef Jaideep Mukherjee, who has previously worked in many top restaurants in Mumbai and Delhi. Having a chef as the owner means that the food is top notch and Jaideep has put in a lot of effort to plan the menu and to get good authentic ingredients for the dishes that he prepares. The restaurant procures rice, spices, vegetables and dairy produce from local farmers who are associated with a couple of NGO’s working here in Gujarat. The chef feels that one should promote local produce. He says it is better to get quality goods locally than to use imported ingredients which might not be that good. He is also concerned about the carbon footprint that we keep accumulating. You must-try their 'Signature Thin Pizzas', 'Deviled Chicken and Onion Croquettes' and 'Flame Grilled Malay Prawn Satay'. They have tasty sandwiches and burgers also. The menu specifies dishes which are 500 calories or less so it helps you watch your calories also.
