If ever we were in need of a casual chilled out space to escape to for few hours, it is now when most of the eateries are going for the lively rambunctious kind of vibe. Bengaluru itself is simply bursting with an exciting night scene and has leftover energy for the all-day dining as well. It’s up to us to find a nook for us where we can cosy up with our laptop or a book in peace. In the hustle-bustle of Bengaluru we were lucky enough to come across handful of places that can be an ideal escape. ‘Fusion Street’ in Kalyan Nagar is a low-key eatery that is known to serve good food in a peaceful relaxed sort of ambience. You will find the restaurant tucked somewhere along 4th Cross on CMR Road.

Fusion Street opens its doors just before noon and as soon as it does, a crowd of hungry diners pour in looking for a scrumptious breakfast or brunch. Their menu trots all over the globe tackling Asian, Continental, Chinese and European cuisines. To kick-start your morning opt for, Spanish omelette, eggs benedict, grilled chicken sausage or mushroom sun-dried tomato & spinach omelette. However, if you are visiting in the evening start with an array of appetizers, crumbed stuffed cheesy mushroom, Greek salad, lang jang chicken, arancini balls, chutta erachi, baby corn hot pot, kalamari fritters, four treasure vegetables, gamberoni alla griglia and fish finger with orange ginger glaze. For a more substantial meal go with, chicken club sandwich, nasi goreng, Hungarian lamb goulash, trio cheese aubergine provencale, General Tso’s chicken, charmula crushed lamb chops and green tea scented Vietnamese basa.

There is an assortment of pastas and pizzas to diversify the menu too. Wash down the meal with a delicious mocktail, screeching parakeet or mid summer dream will do nicely. Coming to the final sweet course, Fusion Street tempts you with, chocolate mousse, Fusion Street sundae, tender coconut soufflé, darsan with vanilla ice cream and a selection of ice creams. Fusion Street is ideal for those who don’t mind compromising on the décor. The interiors is kept simple with white exposed brick walls working beautifully against pale wooden furniture. But a row of tall arched windows takes the room to another level. They fill the room with an abundance of natural light making the room seem all the more airy. Best part: Fusion Street is pocket-friendly as well.
