Kalyan Nagar has a fair collection of Korean restaurants thanks to a sizable Korean population. This is one of the oldest. The restaurant is a homely kind of space and more likely than not you will feel that you are eating in somebody’s living room. The food is wholesome and hearty but with none of the frills that you may expect from an international cuisine being served up. The 'Gimbap' is the most popular dish to order here. The 'Dolsot Bibimbap' also available in vegetarian, beef or chicken is served in a sizzling stone pot ensuring your meal stays super-hot till the end. The Bibimbap comes with red bean paste atop it. If you do not like the taste, you may ask for that to be excluded. The 'Bulgogi' is perhaps the most expensive dish on the menu and is served up 2 portions at a time, making it a good sharing dish. The 'Chicken Hot Pot' makes for a tummy warming meal. The 'Jeyuk Bokkeum' in a choice of pork, beef, chicken or vegetables is a good option. Meat/vegetables are cooked in a spicy, bubbling chilli based gravy and served up with steamed rice. This is one of my favourite picks. You could also try the 'Seafood Pajeon' is something to start with and is a soft pancake stuffed to the gills with vegetables, shrimp and seafood.
