Thanks to the Japanese chef, who speaks not a word of English, Daikichi is rated-head-and-shoulders above the competition by its target audience, the Japanese expatriates who live and work in Gurgaon. From the strictly-no-fuss interiors to the everyday food-for-the-soul, there is little that is fancy about Daikichi. What you will get, however, is food cooked to precision, whether it be the cold appetizers, sushi, noodles or donburi. Not only is there no way to have food customized to the local palate (the chef won’t understand you), but the menu doesn’t even have items like teppanyaki on it.
