Right next to the Dubai Municipality on the Jumeirah Road is this cosy café with some mouth-watering Irani and Persian specialities. It is popular among the youth for a quick sheesha fix as well. A dish with fresh flavours that does not help in packing pounds is the yalanci where fresh vine leaves are rolled with a mixture of partially cooked rice, tomatoes, onions, mint leaves, parsley, lemon juice and olive oil. It tastes as light as it sounds. A couple of dishes that work well together are the sautéed liver fry and spicy potatoes. The liver is marinated overnight and sautéed with some sweet smelling pomegranate sauce. The baby potatoes in the other dish are lightly pan fried with spices and garnished with coriander and chillies.
