It is summer time, it is really hot in Ahmedabad but it is also holiday time for schools and colleges, so what better way to enjoy an evening out enjoying a meal in cool airconditioned interiors though outside it is really hot even in late evenings. Since its mango season, many restaurants are serving various mango dishes but some are offering a whole feast from soup to dessert. There is also the all-time favourite Punjabi Food festival and then there is a festival offering 5 live counters and a whole lot of food.

Amdavadis love to eat out, to party and have fun and the heat is not a deterrent. So we have listed food festivals currently going on in town.

Punjabi Food Festival at Essence, Crowne Plaza, Ahmedabad

Located on S G Highway, this restaurant is part of Crowne Plaza. It is hosting a Punjabi food festival, ‘Chak De Punjab’ which began on April 26 and will continue till May 5. This is a vegetarian and non-vegetarian restaurant and the festival will be on for dinner only. Here you will get the much-loved Butter Chicken, Sarson Saag with Makki Roti, Paneer Korma, Tandoori Aloo, Tandoori Chicken, Lassi, and many more Punjabi dishes. It will have live counters for paranthas and lassi among other things.

Mad for Mango Festival at Silver Leaf Bistro, Acropolis Mall, Thaltej

Silver Leaf Bistro on S G Highway is hosting a Mad for Mango festival which will serve mango dishes from soup to dessert. It will be on during May 6 - May 19 and you will get both vegetarian and non-vegetarian options here. So, you could try their Cream of Mango Chicken Soup or the Mango Gazpacho Soup. There is also Prawns, Melon and Mango Salad, Mango Spring Rolls, Fajeto, Mango Kozi Curry and many other options with Mango in it. Also, there are beverages and desserts.

Dollops Food Festival at Page One Restaurant, Hotel Page One, Ahmedabad

Pageone restaurant which is part of Pageone Hotel in Bodakdev will be hosting 'Dollops Food Festival' from May 3 for three days. This is a vegetarian restaurant and they will be presenting much-loved dishes for Amdavadi foodies from salads, chaats, pasta, kebabs and pulao. The festival will be on only during the evenings and it will have 5 live counters for genuine food lovers to observe their food being prepared.
