Nestled away in the by-lanes of Nerul, Bhatti Village is the residence and eatery of Merciana and Patrick D’souza – the husband-wife duo who cook and serve you accordingly. As one enters, you get the feeling of being in a wine cellar of the badkars with four huge charcoal black casks which used to be stocked with feni. There is no menu and no-frills attached. However, do ask for the specials and fresh catch of the day. Place an order via telephone for 'Fish Roe'. It is a delicacy and an acquired taste. The cooking is plain, simple and straight from the frying pan to the table.

Away from the insane cacophony of the bustling Goan streets and amidst the soothing serenity of Nerul Village, Bhatti Village Bar & Restaurant is a casual dining outlet providing scrumptious Goan recipes. It is a dream destination for every seafood lover who is in quest of authentic Goan food. The eating joint is managed and run by a local couple who cook these delectable preparations. It is positioned at Bhatti Waddo in the by lane of Nerul Village which is just 8-10 minutes away from Candolim in North Goa. The interior design is very traditional and quirky in its own way with barrels, wine bottles and wooden carvings of aquatic animals adorning the walls. Even the lights are quite quaint harmonizing with the whole setup. It is a small place to enjoy excellent drinks and food, amid the natural beauty of Goa. The attendants here speak in Konkani, the local dialect of Goa. When one enters this wonderful place, he can get a sniff of the delightful aroma of seafood. The pricing of the food dishes and beverages is extremely low with the cost of two persons’ meal aggregating to only Rs. 500/- on an average. The place is open to public only during the evening time from 6.30pm to 11pm on all days.
