Sirocco is a Mediterranean wind that comes from the Sahara and reaches North Africa and Southern Europe at hurricane speeds. Sirocco is an establishment that commands a great view of the pool and the sea. Its décor is that of a Goan-Portuguese casa and very lively in nature with an alfresco seating preference. Enter the restaurant to a central cooking area with a see-through kitchen and a bar serving wine and liquor from around the world. The menu is designed with a perfect blend of food and wine as all the delectable dishes and refreshing cocktails are made using the finest ingredients. Begin with the steamed mussels with butter garlic and wine – simple in preparation and steamed in white reduced fumet. Follow through with the crumb-fried calamari rings with chilli tartar. The chefs have worked creatively on the vegetarian choices too. Watermelon and feta almond crumble – the watermelon is topped with crumbled feta, apricot, raisins and tomato slices with a balsamic reduction or the stuffed mushroom with herbs and cheese – the wild forest mushrooms stuffed with Danish blue, mozzarella, cheddar and fine herbs are some of the hits. Highly recommended are the braised lamb shanks, celery and carrots with red wine jus. End your meal with a sinful finale of the chocolate marquise dark chocolate and coffee mélange or dance your way the ballerina style with the mango pavlova where the cream is in a crispy meringue.
