Bonsai is located on the busy Kondapur to Hafeezpet Road in a building that also houses Mandil, the other restaurant from the same group. Bonsai is known for its oriental and continental food. Their lunch buffet is very popular with two versions, with the more expensive one having many more items. However, the huge buffet setup cramps the seating area a bit. If you are going for a-la-carte food, 'Spicy Crab Meat Soup' is a good dish to start the meal with. The starters here are especially good, with options like 'Crumb Fried Broccoli' and 'Cottage Cheese Roll' for the vegetarians, and 'Smoked Chicken Wings in Plum Sauce' and 'Stir-Fried Chicken and Mushrooms' for the non-vegetarians. From the main courses, go for 'Stuffed Bell Peppers with Mexican Rice' and 'Chicken in Black Bean Sauce'.
