A comparatively new outlet offering dishes from the two Andhra states, Teluguness has made a name for itself in a very short time. The interiors have an ethnic look with lampshades, seat covers, and drapes from different regions of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. The food is traditional but not fiery, as the spices have been toned down a bit for the non-Telugu clientele. The starters have many traditional “bajjis” and “pakodas” including 'Makkajona Garelu' and 'Thotakura Pakodi'. Dishes of country chicken (‘Natu Kodi') are delicacies here, with a choice of marinades dominated by green/red chillies or black pepper. The char-grilled 'Mutton Seekulu' on skewers, fish preparation 'Chepa Fry' and 'Kurnool Kodi Vepudu' are some other dishes which impress. The many variations of Andhra pulavs available here are also worth trying. 'Korra Payasam' - a millet-based dessert and jaggery soaked 'Bellam Garlu' are good items to end your meal with.
