The Clay Pot is a small restaurant in Banjara Hills that is known for its village style pot Biryanis. While Clay Pot is quite popular for deliveries and takeaways, it also has a small dining room with seven or eight tables. The usual order here is a portion of the homely, village style 'Chicken or Mutton Pot Biryani' that is served in the sealed clay pot that it is cooked in. Spice heads can also opt for the Andhra style Biryanis such as 'Natu Kodi', 'Chicken Fry', and 'Mutton Kheema'. Be warned though, these are extremely spicy and fiery. There are vegetarian variants including Paneer and Mushroom. Besides Biryani, The Clay Pot also serves decent kebabs and traditional Andhra fare. The dining area is small and often gets packed during the lunch hours.
