  • If there is one dish that is a must-try and is money’s worth is the Dhakai fish tikka, made with bhekti and marinated in yoghurt, green chilli paste and panch phoron and then grilled in the tandoor while giving it a nice punch
  • The seating is a bit uncomfortable; since the benches do not provide cushion and the sofas do not have back rest
  • There is consistency issue with the quality of the food that does n0t do well in the long term

The decor is very lively and chirpy with murals, depicting the lifestyle of Bengal on the walls. Few green windows styled as a zamindar house and some colourful seating arrangement in the form of garden benches creates the retro ambience of the place. The menu comprises of Bengali, Continental and some North Indian delicacies, however, it becomes a bit confusing while reading the menu, since the Bengali dishes and the north Indian dishes are not separated. The food, other than the continental is mostly very greasy and spicy. Some of the kababs and tikkas are noteworthy. The continental dishes are not bad either, and they have few of the classics like chicken a la kiev and bhekti bell munierre. However, they do not stand at par with other restaurants in Kolkata serving good continental food.
