This no-frills family restaurant near Park Circus has a strong reputation for serving up quality food; it is something of an institution in the area and perhaps the busiest restaurant around. They serve good old Chinese food (with a smattering of Thai-inspired dishes, new additions along the way) at pocket-friendly prices, and the portions are particularly generous – making it a hit with the modest middle class diner and students. The largely familiar menu is quite extensive, but this is not a place to be adventurous. Stick to house favourites such as Kung Pao Chicken and Pan Fried Chilli Fish. Do not expect gourmet flair or authentic flavours – go for wholesome, tasty food.
