The Blue Banana started out as a small hookah parlour, in Mandevilla Gardens, frequented by college kids, before it shifted to its present location, this time with more focus on food. Now it is an 80-cover outfit with a dedicated dining area with comfortable, spread out seating and a separate sheesha lounge with plush couches and a giant 120-inch screen for streaming live matches. The décor is minimalist and the semicircular glass façade streams in natural light during the day, when the restaurant looks its best. The menu is largely a mix of Chinese and Continental. Their star dish is the grilled fish with lemon butter sauce served with herbed fried rice, but their Chinese kitchen is easily their strong suit.
