Tung Fong on Park Street (right next to Mocambo) is a relatively new entrant on Park Street; it opened its doors in the early 2000s. The restaurant is owned by Monika Liu who also owns Tangra’s legendary Kim Ling and Beijing and that perhaps, explains the food they serve. If you are looking for Kolkata-style Chinese (good old chowmein and chilly chicken) this is one of your best bets outside China Town. The menu is studded with classics such as golden fried jumbo prawns, wonton soups and drums of heaven. A few dishes you must try are the Tung Fong chilly chicken (for those old-school flavours), their signature Fried Chicken (a good pick with your drinks) and the kung pao chicken (one of the best in town). Pair your sides with some mixed fried rice loaded with chicken, prawns and scrambled eggs.
