Hotel Hindustan International launched its swanky lounge bar, Virgose, in 2005 as an alternative to typical discotheques and their wild, noisy routine. The idea was to provide a space where people could unwind over good food and drinks; music was restricted to lounge only and dancing was not an option. They used to host live performances at one point, but no more. However, a decade on, Virgose remains popular with people looking for a quiet drink in the evening and even business meetings. The alcohol list is extensive and the menu is a mix of Asian, Indian and Continental with a focus on finger food. The golden fried prawns and murgh malai tikka are popular picks. They also make a neat grilled fish with lemon butter sauce.
