About MRP - My Regular Place, Dadar East, South Mumbai
Whenever you visit a bar, live music and sports screenings are standard provisions to attract the punters but there are few places that take this a step further. Added to the mix are interesting food festivals, book shelves and even gaming boards to keep their patrons entertained throughout the evening and encourage them to linger further. It’s the gaming gimmick we are talking about that has hit the trend market recently. A fresh fun bar popped on Mumbai’s scene by the name of ‘MRP – My Regular Place’. The spot is favoured by youths especially who finds the interiors cosy as well as entertaining enough to stick around. Located at Pritam Estate in Dadar East, MRP draws your attention with its eye-catching trendy ambience. If you are on the lookout for an electrifying atmosphere then MRP is your best bet.
One might assume from MRP’s image that it may serve a more dude-friendly menu, filled with burgers and such but that is not so. MRP surprises you by keeping a Pan Asian menu, which is comforting as well as delicious. A smashing bar menu follows that is easy on pockets and can be affordable for large groups of tipplers. Try SOI 11, their signature cocktail made out of vodka, Thai chilli, lime, mango candy and salt & pepper air. Pair that with few munchies to add that salty Asian kick, butter chicken bao, 3 style mushroom dim sum, drunken wings, spicy prawn wrap, Thai jerk tenderloin, steamed edamame and crispy fish. Move onto the second course with MRP’s curry bowls. They come in variety of pairings. You can give, triple makhani bowl, massaman curry bowl, green curry bowl, a shot.
One gets simply awestruck with the immense variety on offer at MRP. Main focus is laid on the appetizers but their main course, although short, is no less. Throw in a pad Thai or roti canai or toasted bao to accompany the mains. Do save some space for the sweet course, which is packed with some truly mouth-watering desserts. Deconstructed cheesecake, the jenga tower, coconut tres leches, orange crème brulee, drunken chocolate sundae and coconut milk panna cotta. MRP – My Regular Place more or less resembles a gaming recreation room only trendier. A stylish wooden décor with a playful vibe comprises MRP. Sit outdoors if there is a soft breeze flowing.
