The tasteful ambience here is done up in heavy overtones of wood, with flashes of South American paraphernalia in the décor and an overall ambience of exclusivity. Offering a one-of-its-kind glimpse into Brazilian cuisine for the city, a meal here starts out with a bang if you order the likes of their entradas (appetisers) such as the pao de queijo (cheese breads), goat’s cheese terrine, or pork momos drizzled with soy caramel sauce, escondidinho (home-made dried steak meat topped with mascarpone, parmesan and lightly spiced pumpkin cream!) or pastels (stuffed pastries) of several varieties. While their vegetarian mains are sumptuous, it is the carnivores who are in for a real treat here – wood-fire roasted Peking duck with sweet potato purée, a flamboyant carne na pedra (thin slices of steak to be cooked at the table on a hot stone, served with a plethora of sides and a thyme butter), Belgian pork belly with apple purée with Spanish ham croquettes, a spicy stew of crab meat in coconut milk and lots more. Also do not miss the dedicated charcoal grill section, which brings you everything from tenderloin to chicken breast, pork sausage, New Zealand lamb rump steak, and a mixed grill. Do finish with the melt-in-the-mouth churros with doce de leite (toffee caramel) sauce or the condensed milk pudding, pudim.
