A tiny, clean little café done up in shades of sea-green pastels and white, there are barely five tables or so (inside and on the patio) at any given time. While the baker-owner whips up a frenzy of stunning new items based on changing inspirations, there are some mainstays on the menu. These include the incredible bacon-cheese quiche, redolent of smoked pork goodness in a buttery, melt-in-the-mouth pastry crust, the hot crab melts that cast the fragrant, sweetish seafood in an envelope of cheese sauce and soft bread, and the Goan sausage roll packed with spicy chorizo. And, that is literally just the tip of the iceberg. The café is known to dole out superb (fresh) revelations, including a divine bacon jam, salted caramel ice cream, lemon drizzle cake, ‘butterbeer’ cupcakes, pork pandi curry with pao, peanut butter fudge cake, Goan thali, balsamic beef with roast potatoes, cinnamon rolls, pork pickle, French butter apple cake, Oreo cheesecake bars, seafood pasta bake, peach and almond cake, Caribbean rum cake, and a whole lot more – basically, surprises are the name of the game here. Cuddle up a hot or cold beverage with any of these mind-numbingly good mini-meals, and you will thank the powers-that-be.
