Flickering flames, a white and indigo colour scheme, poolside seating, ambient music, and a stunning view of Chinchwad town – this is a lovely rooftop place to visit in the city’s outskirts. Housed on – no prizes for guessing – the 12th floor of the DoubleTree by Hilton, the restaurant offers a short list of uncommon North Indian delicacies and cocktails. Vegetarians can opt for the haricot beans with pine nuts enhanced with aamchoor, or the ‘teekhi mirchi’ (which is baby bhavnagari chillies stuffed with a delicately spiced potato mix). The malai drums of heaven and Amritsari silver pomfret make for a great start to a meat-filled meal featuring interesting mains such as kheema matar and lobster biryani.
