Mahesh Lunch Home may not have gained as much cult popularity in Pune as it has in our big sister city from across the E-way, but there is no questioning the sheer deliciousness of the seafood served here. Start off with a hot bowl of crab soup – a spicy affair with tiny bits of finely shredded meat playfully tickling your palate. Their tandoori fish kababs are highly beloved, but also try the bombil koliwada – scrumptious! For mains, the crab masala fry here comes highly recommended, perhaps accompanied by a heap of steamed rice or some fluffy neer dosas. My only grouse here is with the ambience, which is dimly lit to the point of being gloomy, and does not exactly complement the uniformly excellent food.
