Spacious seating and classy décor with a retro feel sets you up for a comfortable dining experience. In keeping with this, you could dive straight into the Continental menu here, perhaps elegantly sipping on a prawn and corn soup with cheese and spices, while you dig in to the cornflake-crisp croquettes or chicken American rings. The entrées in this category have a formidable chicken marengo (with a fried egg garnish) and rice, chicken in lemon-ginger sauce, paneer Cordon Bleu, fish Florentine and potato-sweet corn pie. For something Pan-Asian, the Malaysian fried rice flavoured with soy, lime and tamarind might go well with the crispy lamb. Amongst special desi items, sample the tandoori gobi with cottage cheese, chicken karela kabab, Nargisi koftas or veg Malwani. For a quick tastebud trip to Punjab and back, the inimitable makke di roti and sarson da saag is available here, too. For carnivores, the murg methi malai, mutton lagan ki goti, lal maas, murg adraki and fish Amritsari purport to go well with an egg biryani or paneer pulao. The classic supreme Alaska is a great way to end on a sweet note.
