Awadhpuri, as the name suggests, serves Awadhi and Mughlai cuisine in Ahmedabad. It is located on the first floor in the very upmarket business street on Prahladnagar Road. The place is done up nicely in shades of beige, gold, brown and white, giving it a royal feel to the place. It has beautiful partitions which provide a little privacy between tables. The walls are adorned with paintings and pictures of Nawabs of Lucknow in their heydays. All in all, it has a plush look. Run by a woman entrepreneur, Awadhpuri is satisfying the meat cravings of those who want to taste authentic dishes from the land of the Nawabs who were famous for being connoisseurs of good food. Its varied starters are really good. So, do go for it, but ensure that you have a good appetite to do justice to it. Lucknowi food is known for its delicate flavours, Kebabs, Biryani and other meat preparations like Nihari and Lagan Ka Murg. You must-try their kebabs, especially their 'Gilawat Kebab' which is their signature kebab. Also, the 'Nihari' and 'Bhuna Gosht' are a must-have and you can have it with either 'Warqi Parantha' or 'Roomali Roto'.They have a vegetarian and non-vegetarian buffet for dinner. End your meal with 'Shahi Tukda'. It is a must-have dessert.
