The Square restaurant of Novotel Hotel has an award-winning Sunday Brunch which has a wide spread of food and bakery items, both sweet and savoury. The restaurant is situated on the ground floor and is semi-circular in shape though it is called The Square. It has good elegant décor and is done up in blue and olive green colours. The Square has buffet daily both for lunch and dinner as it also caters to its house guest. On Sunday afternoons they serve Brunch which is both very popular amongst the locals and also is really worth going out on a Sunday afternoon. Do try their Indian Mughlai dishes like 'Chicken Biryani' or 'Gosht Biryani'. If you like Italian foods, do have the pasta. Also, their Oriental cuisine is worth trying but they need to improve their consistency.
Avinash made this experience perfect. Great service. Food for both Indian and western tastes. Recommend
I’ve been visiting this place 2nd time, both the time same issues. They are very poor at cleanliness. Washrooms were in very bad condition, no dustbin was there, no toilet paper. The square restaurant was very unclean. There were lots of debris on the restaurant carpet. The garden people were walking in the hotel carrying pipes at the reception area which was so odd. Staff was nice but I found them bit careless. In short being a multinational hotel chain they shouldn’t be like this.
Very friendly place all around with friends and family, Restaurants staff is amazing 5/5 food and beverages 4.5/5 ambianceand atmosphere 5/5 for a friendly visit to a restaurant with great service its a must visit for food or just for a coffee. Over all Hotel is amazing as well with clean and homely rooms and in rooms service as well helpful staff all around with enough parking space for Cars and Bikes both 😁
I wish there was a ranking below terrible. We opted for Ala Carte food for the restaurant. Everything went after that. We were in the restaurant at around 10:00 PM we ordered all the food together and asked them to get the Soup and another item as a starter first. The Soup came and the item that we had requested came literally last. When the food was laid out on the table none of the servers came to serve the food to us, We had ordered Nasi Goreng which all of love and have eaten it around the world. The Nasi Goreng was a plate of Rice which the guy on the street would have prepared better along with a fried egg and 2 small pieces of chicken satay. But the taste was horrible. The other dish Noodles aioli were horrible and tough. But the joke was when I tried to order "Elaichi Banofee Pie" and then server brought me a bowl of PAN MASALA and he told me that this is what they server. :-(. I was taken aback and did not complain not wanting to spoil my daughter's day. The Joke did not end. At the time of bill I told them that I have a Le Accor membership. They asked me to email the details to them, which I did. They then gave me an invoice with a 20% discount , they said I was eligible for it since I have the Le Accor Membership. As i paid, someone came back and said that I was not eligible for it since Le Accor is only for Stay. They came with another bill with the full amount, which I also paid. A horrible experience on a special day !! I will never go there again !!
I've always loved the ambiance and the service at the Square in Novotel, Ahmedabad. But this time I was certainly taken back by the food as well. All the dishes that the chef curated for the Bengali Food Festival were lovely, except a slight glitch about the fish being a little stale in one of the fish curries. Apart from that, all the dishes on the buffet were lovely, and the desserts were exceptionally good.
