It is perhaps one of the most photographed restaurants in the city. Thanks to Instagram, the interiors of the Playground in Sector 26 have become popular. While the main area is quite large and includes seating at multiple levels, there is also the Playground terrace. The faux grass lined steps that lead to the terrace are rather steep and coming down is a tad tricky, so you need to be careful. The entrance is styled like a narrow gully. As you step outdoors, you notice that there is a bar on one side, an island bar like seating with tall stools on a level up as well cane tables and chairs that can seat 10 to 12 covers. On the bright side, there is outdoor air-conditioning and a cooler billowing cool air. The all-day breakfast specials are only served till 1 pm for lunch and from 3:30 pm to 7 pm in the evening. The menu focuses on finger food as well as quick bites. You can also order from the main Playground menu as well. Leading the starters are the likes of ‘Bhuna Paneer Roll’, ‘Bhati ka Mug’ and ‘Tawa Soya Chaap’. The latter is served with ‘Maska Pao’. We tried the ‘Grilled Chicken’ that was served with mashed potatoes and sautéed vegetables. The sauce was well done and the portion of the vegetables was good. If you are looking for novelty, try the ‘Nachos Bhel’ or ‘Mutton Keema and Onion Nanza’. The service was efficient and the server was eager to please after we sent back our ‘Khala Khatta Banta’ twice.
