From the outside Grillz doesn’t look like much. Its fashioned like a standalone restaurant surrounded by a patch of green lawn where one can throw a small party or have a little celebration. It’s popular on the breezy Chennai days and gets filled quickly so call ahead to book a table. Grillz even holds live sports screening outside for those who are there for just games and beer. At the inside, Grillz has kept the interiors modern looking. Colours chosen are dark and earthy but it doesn’t seem too dull. Ask your server to lead you to the veranda so you have best of both worlds. The restaurant lays out a pretty mean buffet. Opt for that to save yourself the headache of going through the a la carte menu and save yourself some moolah.
Grillz is quite budget-friendly which is why it is so popular with the large group of diners. Their menu is versatile and covers a lot of base from North-Indian, Chinese, Thai to Arabian. Indulge freely in their wide selection of appetizers which features munchies like, Thai roasted chilli chicken, volcano prawn, murgh shorba, machli tikka, aloo naazakhat, crabmeat soup, pan fried momos, wok tossed squid, Thai chilli mushroom, belmet fish, gosht kakori kebab, malai paneer, murgh abu chilli kebab, mushroom in Cantonese style, drums of heaven, Singapore chilli crab and hot basil vegetables. The main course section is a heady mix of assorted curries in different styles. Finish strong with gajar ka halwa, brownie with ice-cream or gulab jamun or simply slurp on a delicious milkshake.
