Mr. Ashok Kumar Vyas journeyed from Bikaner more than a decade ago to set up a garments business in Chennai. He started a small dhaba next to his handloom store in Anna Nagar. While the bright colours and glitter of Rajasthani textile still do brisk business, it is plates of Daal Baati that had put him on the city’s map.
