“Hold the rice as you would hold a lovers hand”, a sushi maestro once told me, for the vinegared rice and not the fish, is the real star in sushi. You know you are in good hands when you shake them with Chef Katayama’s. Since it was a much publicised opening in May last year, Sora Jima has made its mark in a city where Japanese cuisine is quite conspicuous. It lives up to its name (which means an island in the sky), with panoramic views of the city - The silk & gold behemoths of T Nagar glittering in the night sky, as the GN Chetty road snakes underneath. Pity, that the only outdoor seating is a couple of tables for the smokers.
