You will be amazed to know, Bottles and Barrels is placed in a sprawling capacity, a luxury in the city like Gurgaon. The bar is spread out onto two floors of generous proportions, one an indoor seating space while the other an open terrace, two very different from each other. Let’s talk about the pub first. The interiors of the pub is done vibrantly, with bright red walls carrying sports themed murals. Lighting is kept low and a variety of seating are on offer. Peppy yellow day beds takes up space, encouraging the punters to recline comfortably to chat or drink. The vibe is cheerful, casual, fun and lively. Upstairs however is when you enter tranquillity. The terrace is designed Zen like, with a huge sculpture of Budhha backing a tinkling water fountain. As we said, best of both worlds.
The microbrewery churns out a nice variety of house brews, something you can sample before asking for the pint size. Besides the beer, the pub stocks on a tremendous selection of alcohol. You can have whatever your heart wants but beer is most preferred here. Food menu looks into North-Indian, Asian and Italian cuisines. You can start by trying out the appetizers such as, jalapenos garlic prawns, tomato basil bruschetta, beer battered fish finger, phyllo artichoke and roasted chicken wings. For something more filling opt for, pizza, pasta, grilled fish, sliced lamb in hot bean sauce, Malabari fish curry, grilled cottage cheese steak and Awadhi gosht biryani.
