This iconic dhaba in South Delhi has been a staple for locals through the decades. The mouth-watering goodness of its butter chicken, butter naan and dal makhani, is the original ‘happy meal’ before we were introduced to the concept of quick service restaurants. The original shack was shut down after many protests and Rajinder Da Dhaba moved to more concrete surroundings - in a musty, crowded mall-like space across the road. It remains there with air conditioning, no-fuss interiors, frequented by local office-goers, hacks and foodies. The well-heeled just order take out.
