Its famous Defence Colony market was nothing more than a small cluster of grocery shops and dairy initially, but today is counted as one of the oldest and hippest gastronomy alleys in South Delhi. This where some bigwigs of culinary world landed in earlier times and one of them is Moets. Moets is a legendary name in the dining scene of Delhi and is unique in every way. One multi-storied building is home to several restaurants under the same brand name but practicing different menus. Up on the second floor is ‘Moets Shack’, a cosy rustic nook popular with diners under-30s and regulars living in the vicinity. The restaurant is popular and sought after dining destination with families too. It’s a landmark location of Defence Colony.
Food at Moets Shack is exotic and spans across the globe by highlighting the dishes from Turkey, Greece, Lebanon, Italy, Chettinad and Mexico. Wood is used abundantly in bamboo wall screens and old fashioned lanterns reminds you of a cosy mountain cottage nestled in a hilltop. Large picture windows overlooks busy market of Defence Colony and can be a great way to fill up any lull in the conversation. Moets Shack is cosy, chic, casual and not very pricey too.
