UNLIKE ROLLMAAL, its sibling, Speedy Chow, at least the outlet at Kailash Colony Market, looks like a stripped-down version of Mamagoto, inviting you to dine in, though you'd want to order in. It's always a pleasure to have Speedy Chow home-deliver food, though you have to keep fighting the temptation of asking for their Khow Suey over and over again. This is without doubt Speedy Chow's standout item, but there are others that give it competition: the Chilli Garlic Chicken Wings, for instance, or the Tibetan Style Chicken Momos. If you wish to stick to Chinese, here's my meal recommendation: Ask for chowmein, add shrimps and garlic sauce, or chicken / mix vegetables plus tofu (you'll be charged extra for the latter) and black bean sauce. If you get starry-eyed over a meal in a bowl, choose either the ginger-flavoured rice in cashew sauce or Speedy's Chicken Satay and Noodle Bowl. Your children will love the Chicken Lollipops in Honey Chilli Sauce. And if you're a soup person, add the Manchow to your bill. Speedy Chow can definitely claim to be the city's first serious Chinese takeaway. Make it one of your Speed Dial numbers.
